FLUX IMPROMPTU
The first glance lands like impact: red urgency and blue reflection held against a darker weight, swinging between acceptance and resistance. It feels like waking up inside the moment, the first impulse rising before it has a name. There is a brief choice-point: tighten and withdraw, or let yourself go and step in. The pull is immediate, almost magnetic, as if you could either be dragged under or switch on and move forward while awareness blurs.
Flux Impromptu shows how perception keeps changing shape. One moment the situation seems clear, the next it becomes too much. That volatility mirrors how emotions can flip abruptly, and how a deliberate, steady breath can be enough to influence the course. Each work carries a quiet turning point, a short stillness in which direction is found again before motion resumes.
Red and blue fold around the darker ground and create a hypnotic tension, an ongoing negotiation between counterforces. The colors don’t resolve the struggle; they keep it alive in a shifting chord, turning charge into momentum.
A sense of direction grows from what is met rather than what is avoided. Tone can connect or cut; its force lies not in volume but in precision. Sometimes a one-second delay changes the course of an entire exchange.
In every impulse lies the possibility of direction, once it is acknowledged.

The drawings are framed in oak, walnut, and beech, double-stained in Granada red: a tone with contrast and charge. The grain remains visible like memory lines of tension and release. Within this wooden frame, control and outburst meet in balance. What contrasts doesn’t have to clash, as long as each gives the other room.
